Fani Willis, the District Attorney of Fulton County, Georgia, is leading a case against Donald Trump and those who aided and abetted his attempt to get enough votes changed in Georgia to give him a victory in that state.

"Mr. Trump, who has spent almost nine weeks making false conspiracy claims about his loss to President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr., told Brad Raffensperger, the state’s top elections official, that he should recalculate the vote count so Mr. Trump, not Mr. Biden, would end up winning the state’s 16 electoral votes.
“I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have,” Mr. Trump said during the conversation, according to a recording first obtained by The Washington Post, which published it online Sunday. The New York Times also acquired a recording of Mr. Trump’s call".
Fani Willis, using her position as the District Attorney in a predominantly Black district in Georgia to indict the powerful ex-President Trump, has stood against threats, has had to leave her home, and has held the upper hand until now. However, Donald Trump has his allies who will dig up any dirty secrets if threats don't suffice. His henchman, and co-defendant, Mike Roman has complained that Fani Willis and her lead prosecutor engaged in an improper relationship, and he is saying that she mishandled public money. He tried to force a televised court proceeding to address these allegations. Instead, Fani Willis will be allowed to respond in writing by February 2.
"Yet Willis pushed back on claims she had done anything improper in hiring Wade, a private attorney, to work as a special prosecutor on the Trump case and suggested race had played a role in the criticism of her, a Black woman and the first female district attorney in Fulton County, and Wade, a Black man."...
“I appointed three special counsels, which is my right to do. Paid them all the same hourly rate. They only attack one,” Willis said.
Willis’s office has paid Wade’s law firm more than $650,000 over the last two years. The Washington Post has requested, but not yet received, copies of contracts for other outside attorneys on the case as well as copies of their expenses filed with the district attorney’s office. However, Fulton County records show Wade’s law firm has been paid more than law firms associated with the other two attorneys."
Forbes magazine says that Fani Willis is worth $8 million, so it's unclear why she would have Wade pay for the cruises and trips they are alleged to have taken. Fani Willis is married but the charges against her are not about infidelity. Wade is divorced or nearly divorced. Attempts to make Fani Willis an issue in the divorce or divorce proceedings have been ruled out based on an unworkable timeline.
Once again, hearts are breaking all over America in anticipation that Trump will get his way and have the case against him thrown out, (and this is rich), because Willis' behavior is unethical. We all wish this had not happened and we won't know the outcome until the proceedings on February 15.
If we want to impugn the ethics of Fani Willis then we must also do the same in the case of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas accepted more vacations and gifts from billionaire benefactors than previously reported, according to a new report by ProPublica.
“The conservative justice, who has come under scrutiny for his failure to disclose such gifts, took at least 38 vacations, 26 private jet flights, eight flights by helicopter, a dozen VIP passes to sporting events, as well as stays at luxury resorts in Florida and Jamaica, the nonprofit news site reports. ProPublica notes that Thomas appears to have broken the law by failing to disclose flights, cruises and sports tickets...”
“ProPublica previously revealed that Harlan Crow, a Texas billionaire, paid for Thomas' vacations, his mother's house, and a nephew's tuition payments. Separately, The New York Times reported that Thomas received special treatment from members of the Horatio Alger Association, including David Sokol, a former Berkshire Hathaway executive; and H. Wayne Huizenga, the billionaire. ProPublica reported that Paul "Tony" Novelly, the oil baron, is a previously unnamed benefactor of the justice. The total value of the undisclosed trips Thomas has received from these men since 1991, when he was appointed to the Supreme Court, is likely in the millions, the news site said.”
Legal experts have said that the justices should have disclosed free trips like these.
"The statute itself is clear, and the justices can be very harsh on litigants who fail to follow statutory language, "Amanda Frost, a University of Virginia professor, told NPR in June." So I think they should hold themselves to that same standard."
“In April, Thomas issued a statement declaring that when he first came on the court in 1991, he was advised by his colleagues and others that he didn't have to disclose hospitality from personal friends. That understanding has been corrected, he said, and he would in the future disclose such personal travel and entertainment paid for by others. He did not, however, commit to amending his prior disclosure forms."
Although Clarence Thomas' actions do not include salacious charges of infidelity, his wife Ginni Thomas is a 2020 election denier and a Trump supporter, who Justice Thomas claims does not have any influence over his decisions in the Supreme Court. Neither do the gifts from conservative donors affect his vote according to Clarence Thomas.

"Virginia Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, told the Jan. 6 panel during lengthy testimony Thursday that she still believes false claims that the 2020 election was stolen from former President Donald Trump, according to the panel’s chair."
Conclusion:
Fairness would require that both claims of misconduct should get equal treatment. If Fani Willis is fired and her case against Trump is dismissed, then Justice Clarence Thomas should also be fired and replaced.
