Union Article, My Books
In light of recent events, it may seem insensitive to post the article my union printed about my books, which are intended to stop Trump from being reelected in 2024 and to expose the extreme agenda of the Republicans and the Evangelicals. However, the fact remains that we are in danger of losing our freedom and our democracy/republic. These two novellas predict what America’s future could be like if Trump becomes president again. Any violence is implied rather than explicit. Although this is social commentary with a serious purpose the subject of authoritarian rule and human rights violations is couched as a mostly bloodless rebellion. I had hoped to expose the lengths to which the Republican Party, religious leaders, and Trump would go to retain power. I have tried to do this without resorting to the ruthless behaviors described by George R. R. Martin in Game of Thrones.
UUP (United University Professions) is a specialized union group within United Teachers. Although I am retired I pay union dues to retain my membership in the union. Their newsletter is called The Active Retiree. Here is a copy of the article.
